Ernest Carrington Arnold was born in London, England in 1868. Nothing is known about his training as an architect. He was elected a Member of the Society of Architects. He practised in London and collaborated on projects with Lewis Solomon (1848-1928). In the 1901 England, Wales & Scotland Census he gave his occupation as a Major in the 7th Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers and in the 1911 he gave his occupation as Retired Major. He died on 19 June 1935. At the time of his death he was living 45 Pembridge Villas, Hyde Park, Middlesex
