Bacon, Francis, Jr. 1882 - 1971

Francis Bacon, Jr. [also known as Francis Bacon, Junr.] was born in Burghclere, Hampshire, England, 18 November 1882 and was the son of the architect, Francis Bacon (1842-1930), also known as Francis Bacon, senior, with whom he may have trained. He was active as an architect from the early 1900s. "Little Gravels", a cottage in Burghclere, Hampshire, designed by him is illustrated in J.H. Elder-Duncan 'Country Cottages and Week-End Homes' (London: Cassell & Company, 1906 pp.54, 55).   

Bacon's address was given as 6, York Mansions, Battersea Park, London in 1906.; and Ashmead Cott, Back Lane, Eton, Buckinghamshire in 1939. He died in Eton, Buckinghamshire on 24 April 1971.
