Francis Plews Clifton Bacon [commonly known as Francis Plews Bacon; also known as Francis Bacon] was born in Birmingham. Warwickshire, England on 12 March 1852. By 1871 he had moved to London and was living in St. Giles in the Fields. In the Census for that year he gave his occupation as Surveyor. In the 1881 he gave his occupation as Architect. At the time of the 1891 Census he was living in St. Marylebone, Middlesex [now London]. In the 1911 Census his address was given as 21 and 23 Harrington Gardens, South Kensington, London. He died in Marylebone, Middlesex [now London] in 1929.
