Bailey, Frederick Edward Fellows 1852 - 1931

Frederick Edward Fellows Bailey was born in Tipton Green, Staffordshire, England on 3 January 1852 and was articled to Edward Pincher in West Bromwich, Staffordshire in 1868.  He also attended Dudley School of Art and Science. He worked as an assistant to Albert Bridgman (1840-1875) in Poultry, London and subsequently returned to Pincher as his assistant. Bailey qualified as an architect in 1879. He had already commenced practice as an architect in 1876.  He was Architect to Walsall General Hospital.

Bailey was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1879 and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1905.  His address was given as Litchfield Street, Walsall, Staffordshire in 1879; The Poplars, 8, Mellish Road, Walsall, Staffordshire in 1891 and 1931; Bridge Street, Walsall, Staffordshire in 1905 and 1914; Kingscourt, Walsall, Staffordshire in 1923 and 1926. He died on 15 March 1931. His death was registered in Walsall, Staffordshire.
