Baylis, Alfred William 1873 - ?

Alfred William Baylis was born in Redditch, Worcestershire, England on 29 November 1873 and was articled to Edwin Shelbourn in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, England.  He commenced independent practice in Birmingham in 1906. He also lectured on Building Construction and Quantity Surveying at Birmingham Municipal School of Art.  

Baylis's address was given as 7 Hawthorn Rd. Kings Norton, Worcestershire in 1911; and 39, Newhall Street, Birmingham; "The Lantern House", Beaks Hill Road, Bang's Norton, Birmingham in 1914; and 22 Beaks Hill Road, Birmingham in 1939. He died in Hove, Sussex on 2 January 1953
