Charles King Bedells was born in St. Neots, Huntingdonshire, England on 3 March 1832. With Richard Smith Lander (1827-1892) he formed the London, England-based architectural firm Lander & Bedells in the 1850s.
When, in 1899, William Edward Vernon Crompton (1867-1937) joined the partnership the name of the firm was changed to Lander, Bedells & Crompton. The firm specialised in the design of nonconformist churches and schools. Bedells died in Holborn, Middlesex [now London] on 31 December 1897
For details of architectural projects by Lander & Bedells see Index to Architects [link below]. Note: nothing is known about this source [the compiler is not credited]. It is very informative, but, unfortunately, marred by excessive use of abbreviations.
