Henry Beswick [also known as Harry Beswick] was born in Toft, Cheshire, England on 20 May 1855 and was articled to Thomas Meakin Lockwood (1830-1900) in Chester, Cheshire in 1871. He later returned to Lockwood's practice as an assistant. Beswick commenced independent practice as an an architect in 1889. He was appointed Cheshire County Architect in 1896, and Architect to the Cheshire Education Committee in 1904.
Beswick was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1905. His address was given as Queen's Park, Chester, Cheshire in 1905; and Newgate Street, Chester, Cheshire in 1905 and 1926 and died in Northwich, Cheshire in March 1933.
