Blackburn, Robert Herbert 1884 - 1954

Robert Herbert Blackburn was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England on 6 March 1884 and studied at the Technical College in Bradford, Lancashire. He was employed by T. Barker & Son in Bradford first as a junior assistant and from 1903 as chief assistant. He also lectured on Building Construction and Geometry at Bradford Technical College from 1900 to 1914. From the early 1920s he lectured in Structural Mechanics at Loughborough College in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

His address was given as 8 Fairbank Road Bradford, Yorkshire in 1911 and 1914; and 11 Shirley Road, Mapperley Park, Nottingham in 1954. He died on 26 April 1954
