Bothams, Alfred Champney 1861 - 1931

Alfred Champney Bothams was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England in 1861 and was articled to his father John Champney Bothams (1822-1903) in Salisbury. Bothams senior was a civil engineer and the City Surveyor for Salisbury. Bothams junior commenced independent practice in Salisbury in 1884.  In 1908 he was appointed City Surveyor for Salisbury.  He was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925. In c.1930 he was in partnership with Bernard Owen Brown.  He died in Amesbury, Wiltshire in 1931.
