Albert Egerton Lance Bower [also known as Egerton L. Bower; and as E.L. Bower] was born in Blandellsands, Lancashire on 18 September 1881 and practised as an architect in Liverpool, England from 1907. He was in partnership with Thomas Faulkner Shepheard (1875-1952) as Shepheard & Bower in Liverpool from 1907 to 1952. Bower was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1918.
His address was given as Shepheard & Bower, Royal Liver Building, Liverpool in 1920; Liberty Buildings, School Lane, Liverpool in 1926; Shepheard & Bower, Bluecoat Chambers, School Lane, Liverpool in 1930 and 1939; and Sharavogue, Blundellsands Road West Blundellsands, Great Crosby, Lancashire in 1939. He died in Birkenhead, Cheshire in July 1967.
