Donald Bradshaw was born in Liverpool, England on 3 April 1900 and attended Liverpool University, School of Architecture 1920-21. In 1922 he was employed in the office of Henry James Rowse (1887-1963) in Liverpool where he worked on some of the practice's major commissions.
Bradshaw set up his own practice in 1952 and was responsible for the design of high-rise housing and schools both in the Liverpool area and nationally. Following the death of Rowse in 1963 he became senior partner in the firm Bradshaw, Rowse & Hacker Associates.
Bradshaw was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1933. He was also a member of the Liverpool Architectural Society. His address was given as 162 Eastham Rake Bebington, Cheshire. He died in Wirral, Cheshire in 1971
