Christopher Bristow was born in West Norwood, London, England on 31 December 1884 and was articled to Francis Thomas Verity (1864-1937) in London from 1902 to 1906. He also attended King's College, London and the Royal Academy Schools in London.. After completing his articles he worked as an assistant to Edwin Otto Sachs (1870-1919). He qualified as an architect in 1906 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects) later that year.
In 1910-11 was briefly in partnership with David Thomson (1880-1957) as Thomson & Bristow. In 1910 they were placed Equal Second in a competition to design the Central Library in Blackpool. Their designs are illustrated in British Competitions in Architecture vol. 3, no. 26, November 1909 (pp. 44-45).
His address was given as 210 Gipsy Road, West Norwood, London in 1906; 25 Logan Road, Bristol in 1914; 23 Stradella Road, Dulwich, London in 1923 and 1930; "Woodlands", 150 Thurlow Park Road, Camberwell, London in 1935 and 1966. He died in East Dulwich. London on 29 March 1966
