Broadbent, John Stewart 1898 - 1979

John Stewart Broadbent [also known as John S. Broadbent] was born in Poplar, Middlesex [now London]. England on 29 November 1898 and trained as an architect at the Architectural Association Schools in London. He was awarded the "Henry Jarvis " Travelling Studentship and was an Architectural Association Prizeman.  He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1922.

His address was given as 36 Bruce Road, Bromley By Bow, London in 1901 and 1911; 109, Bow Road, London in 1923 and 1926; Phoenix Offices, Station Approach, Rainham, Essex in 1923 and 1955; "Athlone", Grand Parade, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex in 1939; and 101 Wennington Road, Rainham, Essex in 1976.. He died in Southend-on-Sea, Essex on 8 August 1979.
