Brock, Alan St. Hill 1886 - 1956

Alan St. Hill Brock was born in Norwood, Surrey, England on 22 March 1886. He studied at King's College, London in 1903-04 and was articled to Sidney Robert James Smith (1858-1913) in 1904 and to John Murray (1864-1940) in 1905. He also attended classes at the Architectural Association in London from 1904 to 1907. He qualified as an architect in 1910 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) later that year. He commenced independent practice as an architect in London in 1911.

In addition to his work as an architect he was an authority on fireworks and wrote a number of publications on the subject. He was active as an architect until at least the late 1920s and died in Watford, Hertfordshire on 18 October 1956
