Frank Harold Bromhead was born in Tipton, Staffordshire, England in 1881 [or 1882 - sources differ] and was articled to Arthur Gammage (1867-?) from 1898 to 1902. He also attended Birmingham School of Art. He then worked as an assistant to William Alexabder Harvey (1875-1951) from 1902 to 1905l and to Richard Barry Parker (1867-1947) and Raymond Unwin (1863-1940) of Parker & Unwin from 1905.
Bromhead qualified as an architect in 1908 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) later that year. He commenced practice as an architect in Bristol in 1909. He was awarded Gold and Silver Medals in the Daily Mail Competition in 1909. He died Poole, Dorset in 1972.
