Eric Montague Browett was born in Kings Norton, Worcestershire, England in 1881 and was articled to William John Riley (1864-?) and George Harry Smith (1868-?) of Riley & Smith. in Birmingham. He also attended Birmingham School of Art. He was subsequently a partner in Riley & Smith in the 1920s and 1930s. He was a member of the Birmingham Architectural Association. His address was given as "Arden" Alderbrook Road Solihull, Warwickshire in 1911; King's Court, 116-117, Colmore Row, Birmingham in 1923 and 1932. He died in Honiton, Devon in 1969.
Offices for the London and Lancashire Insurance Co., Birmingham, and numerous other smaller jobs for the insurance companies; numerous manufacturing premises ; renovations to ancient buildings.
