Burton, John Edward 1876 - 1957

John Edward Burton was born in Freebridge Lynn, Norfolk, England in 1876. He was articled to George John Skipper (1856-1948) from 1892 to 1899 and remained with him as his assistant until 1909. He commenced independent practice in Norwich, Norfolk in 1909. He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1911. He was active as an architect in Norwich until at least the late 1930s. He died in 1957
