Cabuche, Henry Leon 1876 - 1944

Henry Leon Cabuche was born in London, England in 1876 and studied architecture at University College, London.   He subsequently practised as an architect in London and in the 1900s was on the staff of H.M. Admiralty.

He was admitted a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1925 and was a Fellow of the Society of Architects (F.S.Arc.).  During World War One Cabuche served as Assistant Controller at the Department of Engineering, Ministry of Munitions for which he was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1918.

His address was given as 30 Devonshire Road, Wanstead, Essex in 1891; 71 Burdett Avenue, Prittlewell, Essex in 1901; 11 Luxemburg Gardens, Brook Green, London in 1911; 7, King Street, Kensington, London in 1923; 36, Kensington Square, Kensington, London in 1926; and "Rose Tor" Chalkwell Avenue, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex in 1930.  During the 1930s he appears to have lived for a period in the USA. He died in 1944. His death was registered in Southend, Essex
