Cameron, Rhoderic 1859 - 1928

Rhoderic Cameron [also known as Roderic Cameron and as Roderick Cameron] was born in Kiltarlity near Inverness, Scotland in 1859 and was articled to Alexander Ross (1834-1925) in Inverness from 1876 to 1880. He then worked as an assistant to
Robert Rowand Anderson (1834-1921) in Edinburgh from 1880 to 1888.  In 1880 he established his own practice in Edinburgh. In the 1890s he relocated his practice to Aberfeldy where he was in partnership with William Bell (1856-1914) as Bell & Cameron until 1914. Bell then worked alone until 1923 when he took his son, Duncan Chisholm Cameron (1901-1941), into partnership as Rhoderic Cameron & Son.

Rhoderic Cameron was a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Architects (F.I.Arc.). In 1926 he was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA). His address was given as 130, George Street, Edinburgh in 1888 and 1896; St. Ann's, Crieff Road, Aberfeldy, Perthshire in 1914 and 1926;  and 6, Bank Street, Aberfeldy, Perthshire in 1923.  He died on 28 May 1928
