Chambers, Frederick 1854 - 1920

Frederick Chambers was born in Thorne, Yorkshire, England in 1854 and was articled to H. and W. Kassell, a building firm in Goole, Yorkshire, England.  From 1884 to 1894 he worked as a sanitary inspector and from 1894 to 1900 as a surveyor. In 1900 he established an independent architectural practice in Goole and was in partnership with John F. Chambers.   In 1911 Chambers was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA).  He died on 23 December 1920. At the time of his death his address was given as Thorne Croft, Clifton Gardens, Goole, Yorkshire

Works: Wesleyan Chapels at Reedness and Rawcliffe. and alteration and enlargement of several others; Temperance Institute at Thorne; business premises; inns; alteration to bank; a number of private residences ; and lay-out of several building estates.
