Chandler, Peter (Percy) Chandler 1902 - 1983

Peter Chandler Smith [also known as Percy Chandler Smith*; and Peter C. Smith] was born in Toxteth Park, Liverpool, Lancashire, England on 14 June 1902 and studied at Cambridge University.  By the early 1930s he had qualified as an architect and in 1934 was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1934.

His address was given as Somerville Moor Lane Great Crosby, Lancashire in 1911; 27 South Bruton Mews, London in 1934;  Clarence Cottage Bere Court Road, Pangbourne, Bradfield, Berkshire in 1939; and the Bakehouse, Church Street, Bledington, Oxford in 1983.  He died in 1983. His death was registered in North Cotswold, Gloucestershire in 1983

* His first name is given as Percy in the 1902 and 1911 England and Wales Census;  his marriage certificate in 1930; and the The National Probate Calendar in 1984.  However, it is given as Peter in the 1939 England and Wales Register and the 1934-35 RIBA Kalendar and later editions.
