William George Lloyd Cheriton was born in New Cross, Surrey, England on 21 February 1888 and practised as an architect in London. During the 1920s he was in partnership with Charles Whitby as Cheriton & Whitby. The practice had an office at Eaton Chambers, 60, Buckingham Palace Road, London in 1926. During the 1930s he was in partnership with Walter Alwyn Cole-Adams (1891-1971) Arthur Todd Phillips (1887-1957) as Cole-Adam, Phillips & Cheriton. He was later employed by H.M. Office of Works in London. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1919. He died in Romney, Hampshire in 1975
