Clarke, Percival John 1888 - 1963

Percival John Clarke was born in Bebington, Cheshire, England in 1888. He was the son of the architect John Clarke (1852-1936) with whom he was articled. He also studied at the School of Architecture, Liverpool University. He subsequently practised as an architect in Liverpool and Manchester. In the 1920s he formed a partnership with his father as John Clarke & Son and continued the practice with the title unchanged following his father's death in 1936.

He was a Member of the Society of Architects (MSA) and was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925.  He was also a Fellow of the Liverpool Architectural Society and a Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (M.I.Struct.E.)

His address was given as Thurstaston Road Heswall With Oldfield, Cheshire in 1901; 34, Castle Street, Liverpool and 100, King Street, Manchester in 1923 and 1926; 3A King Street, Stretford, Manchester in 1930; 71 Scarisbrick New Road, Southport, Lancashire, in 1929 and 1932; and 3 Romford Place, Liverpool in 1934 and 1939. He died in Denbighshire, Wales in 1963
