Currey, Percivall 1851 - 1918

Percivall Currey was born in Beckenham, Kent, England on 28 March 1851 and trained as an architect with Thomas Henry Wyatt (1807-1880) from 1869 and in the office of his father, Henry Currey (1820-1900) in London from 1871.  He also attended University College, London.  He commenced independent practice as an architect in London in c.1872 and was in partnership with his father.  He was surveyor to St. Thomas's Hospital in London; to the Duke of Devonshire; and to the Hanstanton Estate.

He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1880 and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1888. He died in Bath, Somerset on 20 May 1918
