Edwin Dace Brown [also known as Ecdwin Dace-Brown] was born in Plumstead, Kent, England in 1881 and was articled to Francis Henry Humphreys in Hastings, Sussex from 1897 to 1901. He then worked as an assistant to George Percy Pratt (1865-1936) in 1901-02; and to George Hornblower (1858-1940) from 1902.
Brown qualified as an architect in 1902 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) later that year. He subsequently practised as an architect in Chiswick, London.
His address was given as 7 Devonshire Terrace, Portland Place, London and 9 Cressingham Road, London in 1902; 2 Flanders Mansions, Bedford Park Chiswick in 1912 and 1914; and 35 Brackley Road, Chiswick in 1923 and 1926. He died on 9 August 1927
