Day, John 1878 - 1919

John Day was born on 20 April 1878 and was articled to Abraham Hart (1851-1939) in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England in 1892. He subsequently worked as an assistant to George Bland and Percival Bown (1873-1953) of Bland & Bown in Harrogate, Yorkshire; to William Rhodes Nunns (1866-?) in Bingley, Yorkshire; and to Harold Wood Barker (1875-?) of Thomas Barker & Son in Bradford, Yorkshire.  Day commenced practice as an architect in Wakefield in 1902. He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1912.  He died in London in 1919.
