Deacon, Wilfrid Thor 1877 - 1958

Wilfrid Thor Deacon was born in West Derby, Liverpool, England on 8 March 1877. He was articled to his father, Charles Ernest Deacon (1844-1927) in Liverpool in 1894 and remained with him as his assistant from 1902. He also attended Liverpool University School of Architecture.  He subsequently practised as an architect Liverpool until at least the late 1920s.  He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1911. In the 1920s he formed partnership with his father as C. E. Deacon & Son and retained the title of the firm for some years after the death of his father in 1927.

He served with the Royal Engineers as a captain in During World War One.  His address was given as 53 Dacre Hill, Rock Ferry in 1911; 12 St. George's Crescent, Liverpool in 1911 and 1935; 33 King Street, Luton, Bedfordshire in 1923; and 9 Cook Street, Liverpool in 1939.   He died Liverpool on 20 March 1958.
