Langton Dennis was born in Streatham, Surrey [now London], England on 11 January 1865.  From 1882 to 1886 he was articled to Sir Ernest George (1839-1922) and Harold Ainsworth Peto (1854-1933). He then attended the Royal Academy Schools in London in 1885. In 1889 Dennis was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) and subsequently commenced practice practice in London. By 1914 he had relocated his practice to Crowborough in Sussex, where remained until at least the late 1920s.  From the early 1920s (and possibly earlier) until at least the early 1930s, he was in partnership with Richard C.
