Dodd, Ronald Fielding 1891 - 1958

Ronald Fielding Dodd was born on the Isle of Man in 1891.  He was articled to the Isle of Man architect Armitage Rigby (1860-1910) in Douglas, Isle of Man and trained at the School of Architecture, Liverpool University, where he was awarded a First Class Diploma and in 1911 the "Lever Prize".

After serving in the Army during World War One, he practised as an architect in Oxford, Oxfordshire.  He was senior partner in the Oxford practice R. Fielding & Stevens, which subsequently became R. Fielding Dodd, Best & Stevens

Dodd was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1920) and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects FRIBA) on 1929. During the 1920s he was Honorary Secretary of the Berkshire. Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Architectural Association.

He died on 30 April 1958.  His address at the time of his death was given as Byway, Blodon, Oxfordshire.
