Dolman, William Ledsham 1875 - 1939

William Ledsham Dolman was born in Repton, Derbyshire England in December 1875 and worked as an assistant to his father, Joseph Dolman (1851-?), a joiner and builder in Repton, from 1892 to 1902, and to Daniel (Dan) Gibson (1865-1907) in Windermere, Westmorland [now Cumbria] from 1902 to 1907. He took over Gibson's practice foillowing his death in 1907.

Dolman was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1910 and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1921.

Dolman's address was given as Long Street, Repton in 1891; Olive Mount, Windermere, Westmorland in 1910; Crescent Road, Windermere, Westmorland in 1910 and 1931; Sunny Bank Road, Windermere, Westmorland in 1911; and Crag Brow, Bowness-on-Windermere, Westmorland in 1936.  He died in Border, Cumberland in June 1939
