William Alfred Everitt was born in Great Totham, Essex, England on 12 February 1878. His occupation was given as carpenter and joiner in the 1901 census, and estate and insurance agent in the 1911 census. However, in his entry in Who's Who in Architecture 1914 it states that he had begun practising as an architect in Barking, Essex in 1907 and that he had already designed a number of houses. He died in Birmingham , England on 22 July 1959.
