Farquharson, Horace Cowley Nesham 1875 - 1966

Horace Cowley Nesham Farquharson [commonly known as Horace Farquharson; also known as Horace C. N. Farquerson] was born in Harberton, Devon, England in on 30 June 1875. He was articled to James Glen Sivewright Gibson (1861-1951) and Samuel Bridgman Russell (1864-1955) of Gibson & Russell, and remained with them as their assistant for two years. He was then employed as an assistant to Edwin Landseer Lutyens (1869-1944).   

He commenced practice as an architect in Farnham, Surrey in 1897 and later in his career was in partnership with Donald Hanks McMorran (1904-1965).   

Farquharson was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1907.  His address was given as 50 Elizabeth Street, Eton Square, London in 1902; 41 Montpelier Square, Knightsbridge, London in 1907 and 1914; 14 North Audley Street, Grosvenor Square in 1914 and 1939; and Hill House, Harefield, Middlesex in 1923 and 1926. He died in London on 23 April 1966.
