Farran, Charles Ernest 1889 - 1973

Charles Ernest Farran was born at Stag's End, Hemel Hempsted, Hertfordshire, England on 6 March 1889. Like his older brother, Frederick St. Clair Farran (1876-1934), he trained as a civil engineer and was elected an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (AMICE).  Also like his brother he occasionally worked as an architect. Together they submitted a design for a bungalow in the Daily Mail Architects Competition for Labour-Saving Bungalows in 1922.

C. E. Farran's address was given as The Bungalow, West Denton Road, Lemington-on-Tyne. in 1922.  He died on 7 August 1973.  At the time of his death he was living in Clifton, Maltby, Rotherham, Yorkshire
