Gerald Wanklyn Flower [commonly known as Gerald W. Flower] was born London, England on 30 October 1912 and was active as an architect in England between the 1930s and the 1950s. Between c.1936 and 1939 he was in partnership with Ernö Goldfinger (1902-1987).
The practice designed a toy shop for Paul and Marjorie Abbatt Limited at 94 Wimpole Street, London (1936); and 1-3 Willow Road, Hampstead, London (1937-39).
Goldfinger and Flower also designed furniture and interiors. Three photographs of nursery furniture designed by Goldfinger and Flower for Paul & Marjorie Abbatt Ltd. are illustrated in 'Decorative Art' 1938 (p.128).
In the late 1940s Flower designed an additional floor for Hill Pasture, a house in Broxted, Essex, a house originally designed by Goldfinger in 1936-37.
Flower was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1936. His address was given as 28 Sydney Street, London in 1939. By the early 1960s he was working as an architect in New South Wales, Australia. He died in Sudbury, Suffolk, England on 20 April 1994
