Formby, Richard Leo 1903 - 1971

Richard Leo Formby was born in Formby, Lancashire, England on 24 July 1903. It is not known where or with whom he trained as an architect. A bungalow designed by him was awarded an Honorable Mention in the  Daily Mail Architects Competition for Labour-Saving Bungalows in 1922.  During the 1930s he worked in H. M. Office of Works in Manchester

His address was given as 1, Andrews Lane, Formby, Lancashire in 1911 and 1922; and 18 Napier Road, Manchester, Manchester in 1939.  He died in Southport, Lancashire on 23 December 1971
