Fox, Frank 1860 - 1926

Frank Fox was born in Hackney, Middlesex [now London]  England on 14 March 1860 and was the son of Edwin Fox, a surveyor. He studied at the Polytechnische Schule in Aix-le-Chappelle. Germany [now France] from 1876 to 1878.  He then worked as an assistant in the surveying department of his father's firm Edwin Fox & Bousfield in London in 1878-79.  He was a pupil of Arthur William Blomfield (1829-1899) until 1882. He also attended the Royal Academy Schools in London.  He qualified as an architect in 1888 and was elected an associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) later that year.

Fox commenced independent practice as an architect in London in 1889. He was Honorary Architect to St. Peter's Hospital in Covent Garden, London.  Most of his work as an architect was in London.  He died on in London on 7 May 1926.
