Herbert Freyberg was born in Westminster, Middlesex [now London], England in 1855. It is not known where and with whom he received his architectural training. He commenced practice as an architect in London in 1893 and was elected a Member and later a Fellow of the Society of Architects. He was a chairman of the Public Health and Housing Committees, Royal Borough of Kensington. He died in Holborn Middlesex [now London] on 25 February 1924
