Frith, Norman Laurence 1914 - 2015

Norman Laurence Frith [commonly known as Norman Frith or Norman L. Frith] was born in Wanstead, London, England on 7 February 1914 and worked as an architect and exhibition designer in Britain from the 1940s to the 1960s. He was a member of the Design Research Unit (DRU) and with Misha Black, Bronek Katz and Ronald Sandiford of the DRU he designed the ‘Darkness Into Daylight’ exhibition at the Science Museum, London.  Frith was an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA), an Associate of the Royal Institute of Architects in Scotland (ARIAS), and a Member of the Society of Industrial Artists (MSIA). He lived in Wanstead, London and designed the Quaker Meeting House in Wanstead. He also designed the Quaker Meeting Houses in Romford and Epping.  He died on 22 March 2015, aged 101.
