Garthside, Eric 1904 - 1996

Eric Garthside was born in New South Wales, Australia on 26 May 1904.  He trained as an architect in Sydney and was awarded a B.A. (Arch). By the late 1920s he had moved to the UK and in 1928 he was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA).    A house in Farnham Royal, Buckinghamshire designed by Garthside is discussed in Small Houses £500-£2500, edited by H. Myles Wright (1937 p. 94). He died in Surrey, England on 15 April 1996
