Gerald Charles Purcell Gough was born in Ludlow, Shropshire, England on 7 June 1902. It is not known where he trained as an architect. He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1927 and by 1928 was living in Richmond, Surrey, He died in Chichester, West Sussex on 12 September 1981
