Thomas Francis Wiltshire Grant [also known as T.F.L. Grant]was born in Sittingbourne, Kent, England in 1885. He studied at the Architectural Association Schools in London from 1904 and worked as an assistant to Francis William Troup (1859-1941) from 1905. He qualified as an architect in 1910 and subsequently practised as an architect in London. He was in partnership with Henry John Chetwood (1885-1943); William J.. Palmer-Jones (1887-1974) and with the church artist and designer Martin Travers (1886-1948). Grant was known primarily as a church architect.
He was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1910, and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (FRIBA) in 1920.
His address was givan as 12 Great James Street, Bedford Row London in 1910; 16, Old Buildings, Lincoln's Inn, London, in 1914; and 11 Buckingham Street, Adelphi, London in 1923 and 1939. He died at 31 Court Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent on 29 December 1965
