Arthur Grove was born in 1869 and was articled to John Dando Sedding (1838-1891) in London in 1887 and remained with him until 1891. He then worked as an assistant to Henry Wilson (1864-1934) from 1891 to 1900, and to Edward Schroeder Prior (1852-1932) from 1900 to 1905. He also attended Westminster School of Art and Central School of Arts and Crafts in London. He commenced independent practice as an independent architect in London in 1902 whilst at the same time assisting Prior. He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (L.R.I.B.A.) in 1911.
Grove was also a decorative designer and was a member of the Arts & Crafts Exhibition Society, serving as an assistant secretary of the Society. Decorative work by Grove was exhibited at the A&CES exhibitions in London in 1910 and 1916. He also exhibited at the Royal Academy in London in 1905 and 1915. His address was given as 15 Clifford Inn, Fleet Steeet, London in 1905; 1 Hare Court, Temple, London in 1911 and 1914; and 7 Park Road, Richmond, London in 1911. He died in 1929. His death was registered in Richmond, Surrey.
