Hawkes, William Neville 1910 - 1988

William Neville Hawkes [commonly known as W. Neville Hawkes] was born in Solihull, England on 27 March 1910 and practised as an architect  from the 1930s onwards, during which time he was employed by Harry Bloomer & Son in Birmingham.

A photograph of a house near Knowle in Warwickshire, designed by Hawkes for Harry Bloomer & Son is illustrated in 'Decorative Art' 1941 (p.26).  

Hawkes was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) in 1933. His address was given as Chetton, Copt Heath, Solihull in 1935 and Orchard Flats, Warwick Road, Solihull in 1936. He died in Honington Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire on 29 September 1988
