Heath, John Stanley 1875 - 1941

John Stanley Heath was born in Greenwich, Kent [now London], England in 1875. He was articled to Thomas Roger Smith (1830-1903 from 1893 to 1897 and remained with him as his assistant for a further year. He also attended University College, London and the Architectural Association in London. He then worked as an assistant to Robert Alexander Briggs (1858-1916) for six months and to Ernest Augustus Runtz for two years. He commenced practice as an independent architect in London in 1899. In 1900 he qualified as an architect and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA). In 1909 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal institute of British Architects (FRIBA).   He died in in Virginia Water, Egham, Surrey on 8 November 1941.
