Arthur Harry Heron was born in Uxbridge, Middlesex, England on 25 January 1863 and was articled to William Wallen in London in 1881. He also studied at the South Kensington Schools in London for several years. He worked as an assistant to Wallen; to J.C.P. Higgs and Frank Rudkin (1860-1932) in London; and to E. E. Edwards in Hereford. In 1890 he qualified as an architect and later that year was elected an Associate of the Royal institute of British Architects (ARIBA).
Heron commenced practice as an architect in 1887. His address was given as 153 High Street, Uxbridge, London in 1890 and 1910; 16 Great Marlborough Street, London in 1914; 135 Victoria Street, London in 1923 and 1926; and 39 Belmont Road, Uxbridge in 1934. He died in Hillingdon, London in October 1965, aged 102.
