Higgott, Samuel Brian 1891 - 1977

Samuel Brian Higgott was born in Branstone, Staffordshire, England on 25 May 1891. By the early 1920s he was practising as an architect and submitted a design for a bungalow in the  Daily Mail Architects Competition for Labour-Saving Bungalows in 1922. By the late 1930s he was a partner, with Albert Thomerson (1882-1963) in the architectural practice Higgott & Thomerson which had an office at 9 Finsbury Square, London

Higgott was admitted a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1925.

His address was given as 64, Torquay Road, Newton Abbot, Devon in 1922; 12, Mount Pleasant, Moretonhampstead, S. Devon in 1926; Midland Chambers, Newton Abbot, Devon in 1930 and 1936; Fore Street, Okehampton, Devon in 1936; "Merrion" Upper Selsdon Road, Sanderstead, Surrey in 1939; and "Stray", Moretonhampstead, Devon in 1966 and 1977.  He died on 2 April 1977
