Hodges , John Stewart 1893 - 1964

John Stewart Hodges was born in London, England in 1893.  It is not known where or with whom he trained as an architect.  He was in practice in London by 1920 and was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA) that year.  He was awarded 3rd prize in the Daily Mail Architects Competition for Labour-Saving Bungalows in 1922.

His address was given as 19, Craven Road, Harlesden, London in 1922; and 101 Great Russell Street in 1930 and 1939.  In 1951 he moved to South Africa, however, it is not known if he continued to practice as an architect. He died in South Africa on 29 December 1960.  His address at the time of his death was given as 64 River Road, Walmer, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa
