Hooper, Thomas Rowland 1845 - 1937

Thomas Rowland Hooper [also known as T. Rowland Hooper] was born in Bermondsey, Surrey, [now London] England on 8 July 1845.  From 1865 he worked as an assistant with various architectural firms in Birmingham, London and Paris. He also attended an art school. In 1873 he set up his own architectural practice in Redhill, Surrey and in 1889 passed his qualifying exam as an architect.  The following year he was elected an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (ARIBA).

Hooper's address was given as 45 Randolph Road, Reigate, Surrey in 1881; 1 Station Road, Redhill, Surrey in 1889; Elms Road, Redhill, Surrey in 1891 and 1914;  Glinton, 19 Elms Rd., Redhill, Surrey in 1911; Market Hall Buildings, Redhill, Surrey in 1914; and 16 Ridgeway Road, Redhill, Surrey in 1937.  He died in Surrey on 3 December 1937.
