Huxtable, John 1861 - 1937

John Huxtable [also known as J. Huxtable] was born in Clapham, Surrey [now London], England in 1861 and was active as an architect and surveyor London and later in Herne Bay, Kent. A detached cottage designed by him for the British Uralite Company is discussed in Modern Housing in Town and Country by James Cornes (London: B.T. Batsford, 1905 pp.182-183).

Huxtable's address was given as 30, Bismarck Road, Islington, London in 1891; Station Road, Herne Bay, Kent in 1905; and Highgate House, Estate Office, Station Road, Herne Bay. Kent in 1911. His death was registered in Blean, Kent in 1937.
