Jeffcott, Ian 1901 - 1981

Edward Ian Broof Jeffcott [commonly known as Ian Jeffcott] was born in Fulham, London on 8 November 1901. After military service in India he returned to England in 1923 and appears to have trained as an architect not long after that. He was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) in 1927. From 1932 to 1947 he was employed as exhibition architect by Associated Newspapers and was responsible for the the layout of the Ideal Home Exhibitions at Earls Court in London during those years.

He designed the Solid Smokeless Fuel Appliances for Domestic Heating Services Exhibition at the Horticultural Hall in London in 1946, and was appointed by the Radio Industry Council (RIC) as consulting architect for the radio show held at Earls Court in 1951. He later designed other exhibitions for the RIC.  He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). His address was given as New Carmalite House, London in 1939. He died on 29 January 1981. His death was registered in Westminster, London.
